Up to 40% lighter than conventional bottles.
If you compare the previous standard glass bottles with the Ecolution version, the weight of the 500 ml version is reduced by approx. 155 grams. This corresponds to 40 percent less weight than originally.
The lower weight and smaller dimensions have a positive effect on transport and shipping costs and lead to reduced disposal and recycling fees. Reduced unit costs and improved handling: For the production facilities, the optimized use of materials in turn means more free capacity.
In the case of the two Dorica Evolution bottles made of glass in the 250 ml and 500 ml sizes, the diameter and filling quantity remain the same – despite the lower weight. You do not have to invest in new plant components. Existing conveyor belts, stars and many other machine models can continue to be used.

Optimized muzzle: less abrasion
The oil bottles in the Dorica Ecolution series feature a newly designed neck finish that promises clear added value for the customer. The flattened thread, which is used in the muzzle variant for both the conventional and the new muzzles, helps to prevent aluminum abrasion.
The optimized Ecolution neck finish has a “lip” at the top edge of the neck finish onto which the spout insert is clicked instead of getting stuck in the neck finish entrance as in previous models. This makes it almost impossible for the plastic insert to fall out or be pulled out. It is also a good 10 % lighter than before.
This gives us significantly reduced dependence on tolerances in the glass area and avoids contamination of the bottle mouth by aluminum abrasion. The end customer benefits from optimized handling thanks to the lightweight glass bottle and you as the bottler receive fewer consumer complaints.

With the new Ecolution series, you don't just save weight,
but at the same time support international and regional climate protection projects.
With the new Ecolution series, CO₂ emissions are already reduced via the lower weight in production. In addition, all items are produced in Germany, which means that transportation distances are generally relatively short. Made in Germany.
We only offer the new Ecolution series in conjunction with a complete exemption of emissions. All bottles are climate-neutral, i.e. unavoidable CO₂ emissions that occur during production or transportation are offset using so-called compensation certificates.
To offset emissions, we support two climate protection projects certified to international standards: the construction of a dam in Vietnam and the distribution of energy-efficient cooking stoves in rural communities in Honduras. Customers who order climate-neutral bottles via EUROGLAS select the desired climate protection project and receive a certificate on climate-neutral glass packaging and the compensation of greenhouse gas emissions. EUROGLAS also plants a tree for you in Heigenbrücken in the Spessart region for every CO₂ tonne offset.

Ölmühle Hartmann is a long-standing customer of EUROGLAS and will switch to the Ecolution variant of the Dorica bottles in the fall of 2022.
The CO₂ emissions of Ölmühle Hartmann for the 250ml and 500ml bottles, with a total quantity of approx. 750,000 units is reduced by approx. 60 t/CO₂ with the conversion.which corresponds to approximately 25,128 liters of heating oil and a reduction of 20.26%. The company achieves climate neutrality through compensation via one of the climate protection projects.
